When the pandemic started the feeling was an odd mixture of having everyone at home trying to do school, work, and reorganizing to make it possible.
This piece was written in two sections Busy in Place is the feeling of crowding, and trying to get things done and the second section is Sleepless Night, reflecting the feeling of worry over the future.
The piece was designed to be played Virtually. The piece has one continuous pulse and changes movements and meter over this pulse, used as a click track for people to record their parts and then they were compiled and put online for everyone to hear the end result.
The Cindy Celebration was written to celebrate 20 years of teaching by Cindy Speelman at the Nanaimo Conservatory of Music.

The theme is 20 measures long and is in the style of a slip jig, it is followed by the appreciation chorale, and the We will miss you Habanera. The theme returns at the end with a lot of runs and fanfare.
